What costs are NOT included?
On the movers side: tips (commonly $20+ per mover, or 5–20% of the bill), full-value insurance/valuation coverage, stair/elevator/long-carry fees, shuttle fees when a big truck can't reach your door, packing services, and storage. On the DIY side: tolls, parking permits, damage deposits, and — on long-distance trips — your food, fuel-stop snacks, and hotel nights. Add whatever applies to your situation before deciding.
Why is the movers side a range instead of one number?
Because a single number would be dishonest. Real quotes for the same move routinely differ by 30% or more depending on region, season (summer and month-end cost more), building access, and how each company guesses your shipment's weight. The range here is computed from your inputs with a stated spread — treat it as a sanity band, not a quote.
