Assumptions & FAQ
What does the subscription cost include?
Your plan's price per scheduled visit, however many visits per year your plan includes (quarterly service — 4 visits/year — is common, but check your actual plan), and any one-time signup or initial treatment fee some companies charge. It doesn't include extra call-outs some plans still bill separately between scheduled visits; if yours does, fold that into your one-time treatment cost or plan price.
How do I know how many one-time calls I'd need per year?
You don't have to know exactly — that's what the table above is for. Pest pressure depends enormously on your specific property, region, climate, and pest type, so there is no honest universal number this calculator (or anyone) can hand you. Enter your own best estimate based on your property's history, and use the sweep table to see how the answer changes at 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 calls a year.
How is the signup fee handled?
It's added once to your subscription total, not repeated every year. For the break-even calls/year figure specifically, it's spread evenly across your comparison horizon so the two options are compared fairly on an annual basis.
Why doesn't this match the quote I got?
Subscription and one-time treatment prices vary a lot by company, region, pest type, and property size — the defaults here are just illustrative starting points, not a quote. Enter your own numbers; treat the result as a planning estimate, not pest-control advice.
Do my numbers get uploaded?
